LCP-177 Product Overview
An ultra-thin film, lubricant and corrosion preventative compound that also displaces water and offers these unique benefits:
Corrosion protection and lubrication for electrical and electronic components and assemblies including: Printed Circuit Boards, electrical connectors and switch’s, electric motors, interior and exterior metal surfaces.
Forms an airtight seal preventing damage to electronics and other surfaces caused by exposure to acid gases such as Sulfur dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Ammonia (NH3), Chlorine based gases (CL12), and the thermal decomposition by-product of HFC-227ea used in fire suppression systems, Hydrogen Fluoride (HF).
LCP-177 has a wide range of uses and applications:
LCP-177 is designed to protect and lubricate electrical connectors and terminations as well as electrical bonds and grounds, relays, fittings, circuit boards, computers, and all forms of avionics and electronics from moisture and corrosion.
LCP-177 forms an ultra-thin, hydrophobic, non-flammable lubricant film with anti-corrosion properties approximately 7 microns (0.00028 inch) in thickness. LCP-177 is compliant with U.S. EPA regulations and the European Union RoHS Directives. LCP-177 conforms to MIL-DTL-87177B. Use LCP-177 anywhere dissimilar metals may come in contact.
LCP-177 eliminates electrical resistance failures caused by general and fretting corrosion and to lubricate connectors, both micro, and conventional electrical switches, terminal blocks and Busbars, electrical bonds and grounds, relays and switching systems, multi-pin cable connectors, interior and exterior light sockets and wiring, plugs, connectors, and receptacles, as well as electronic printed circuit boards and micro-miniature circuits.
LCP-177 corrosion inhibitor will also protect electrical motors, battery post connectors, electronics and switches against surface static electricity, corona, and other electro migration problems. LCP-177 uses a very fast evaporating non-toxic and environmentally acceptable carrier fluid that is non-reactive to most plastics.
Components should be free of oils, flux and other surface contaminants prior to application of LCP-177.
LCP-177 is packaged in 16 ounce aerosol cans with a net fill weight of 12 fluid ounces. 12 cans per case.
